Update
Despite strong interest, Lucas Perri's expected move to Besiktas has reportedly fallen through. The goalkeeper will continue at Leeds after talks between the two clubs failed to reach an agreement. It's a frustrating development for all parties involved as they look to strengthen their squads. The proposed transfer is no longer on the table, and with no competing interest, the player is expected to stay where he is. Across the season 25/26, Besiktas have let in 24 goals in 19 (1.26 per game), roughly in line with the Super Lig average. Lucas Perri would be expected to give them some extra stability and depth for the tougher stretches of the season. Leeds continue to be linked with Nico Schlotterbeck, Martin Baturina and Romano Schmid while Besiktas are also rumoured to be tracking Alphonse Areola, Djibril Sow and James John McAtee. Stay tuned for more details as the story develops. Need more Besiktas transfer rumours? Follow @PlayerSwitchCom on Twitter for news and updates as they happen.
