Update
It's back to square one for Galatasaray after multiple reports outlining their failure to land Manuel Akanji from Manchester City . The defender had been in their sights for weeks, but despite talks taking place over a potential transfer, the move never materialised and it looks like they will need to move onto fresh targets. He'll remain with his current club for the time being - unless an improved bid is made. The transfer has collapsed, but Manuel Akanji could still emerge as a target for other linked sides such as Inter, Tottenham and Milan. Galatasaray's back line has been a real strength this season, conceding just 0.38 goals per game (3 in 8). Manuel Akanji would be expected to slot into that unit and hold his own in an already solid setup. Alongside this, Manchester City are said to be exploring Senne Lammens, Ademola Lookman and Josh Acheampong with Galatasaray likewise connected to Senne Lammens, Wilfried Stephane Singo and John Victor.
