According to various outlets, Chelsea are seriously considering a move for Barcelona midfielder, Frenkie De Jong. While nothing concrete has emerged yet, the player's name has reportedly featured in internal discussions about possible reinforcements ahead of the run-in. Until a fee and conditions are finalised, the deal remains vulnerable to disruption - especially if Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal decide to make a formal offer of their own in the coming days. In season 26/27, Chelsea are conceding 2.4 goals per game (12 in 5 games), which points to a lack of control in midfield. Frenkie De Jong would be expected to calm things down and protect the back line better. Alongside this, Barcelona are said to be exploring Joshua King, Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz with Chelsea likewise connected to Luca Williams-Barnet, Igor Matanovic and Eduardo.
