Update
Following multiple reliable reports that Barcelona have accepted a bid from Panathinaikos for Inaki Pena - discussions over personal terms are said to have begun as all parties look to finalise the move in the coming days. The goalkeeper is open to the move, and if talks proceed smoothly, the transfer could be confirmed in the coming days - which would see the buying team secure one of their top targets and put their rivals on notice. While Elche and Como have shown interest, Panathinaikos currently lead the race - though the situation could evolve if a deal drags on. With only 22 goals conceded in 21 (1.05 per game), Panathinaikos have been one of the stronger defences in the Super League this season.. Inaki Pena would be asked to keep that standard and provide dependable cover when needed. Barcelona continue to be linked with Benjamin Sesko, Andrea Cambiaso and Christ Ravynel Inao Oulai while Panathinaikos are also rumoured to be tracking Stefan De Vrij and Ivan Martin.
