Update

Joe Wildsmith is officially a Middlesbrough player following confirmation of his transfer from West Bromwich. The goalkeeper joins after both clubs confirmed the deal after personal terms were agreed and the player passed his medical. Now focus turns to how he will fit into his new team. The move attracted little outside interest, which meant Middlesbrough could complete the transfer without any real contest. With only 29 goals conceded in 30 (0.97 per game), Middlesbrough have been one of the stronger defences in the Championship this season.. Joe Wildsmith would be asked to keep that standard and provide dependable cover when needed. Reports suggest West Bromwich are monitoring Jamaldeen Jimoh and Max O'Leary whereas Middlesbrough have not been associated with other players at this stage.
