Hopes of seeing Lamine Camara in a Chelsea shirt have been dashed, with multiple reports saying his proposed move from Monaco now off the table. The midfielder was a key target this window, but the transfer has fallen through before an agreement could be reached and the buying club are looking at new transfer targets. The transfer has collapsed, but Lamine Camara could still emerge as a target for other linked sides such as Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Liverpool. In season 26/27, Chelsea are conceding 2.5 goals per game (5 in 2 games), which points to a lack of control in midfield. Lamine Camara would be expected to calm things down and protect the back line better. Alongside this, Monaco are said to be exploring Hicham Boudaoui, Djeidi Gassama and Pape Matar Sarr with Chelsea likewise connected to Martin Zubimendi, Francisco Fernandes Conceicao and Iliman Ndiaye.
