Update
It looks like Besiktas will not be signing Leandro Trossard from Arsenal after all. The midfielder had been heavily linked throughout the window, but the deal is now dead in the water. Reasons for the collapse remain unclear, though it marks a blow to Besiktas's plans to bolster their squad. The deal has fallen through, and while Besiktas are moving on, clubs such as Aston Villa, Fenerbahce and Crystal Palace remain in the frame. Besiktas look balanced this season - 1.71 goals scored and 1.29 goals conceded per game. Leandro Trossard would be expected to bring control and consistency to help push them to another level. Alongside this, Arsenal are said to be exploring Piero Hincapie, Karl Jacob Hein and Malick Fofana with Besiktas likewise connected to Vaclav Cerny, Tiago Djalo and Wout Faes.
