It's official: Marvin Friedrich has signed for Union Berlin from M´gladbach. The defender's move has been confirmed by both clubs, with personal terms and registration finalised. He will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming fixtures, having completed a medical and agreed on contract terms. With no other clubs strongly linked, Union Berlin were able to move quickly and secure the deal without distraction. Across the season 25/26, Union Berlin have let in 38 goals in 24 (1.58 per game), roughly in line with the Bundesliga average. Marvin Friedrich would be expected to give them some extra stability and depth for the tougher stretches of the season.
