Update
Following reports that Milan have accepted a bid from Chelsea for Mike Maignan - discussions over personal terms are said to have begun as all parties look to finalise the move in the coming days. The goalkeeper is open to the move, and if talks proceed smoothly, the transfer could be confirmed in the coming days - which would see the interested team secure one of their top targets and put their rivals on notice. Chelsea have laid out their intentions, but valuation and timing remain under debate. Juventus and Man Utd are keeping tabs in case talks collapse or progress slows further. Across the season 25/26, Chelsea have let in 9 goals in 7 (1.29 per game), roughly in line with the Premier League average. Mike Maignan would be expected to give them some extra stability and depth for the tougher stretches of the season. Milan have also been linked with Bernardo Silva, Robert Lewandowski and Nicolo Tresoldi while Chelsea are reportedly monitoring Castello Lukeba, Santiago Thomas Castro and Strahinja Pavlovic.
