Manchester United have reportedly added Nico O Reilly to their shortlist of transfer targets. The Manchester City defender is rumoured to be attracting attention ahead of the next transfer window, with insiders claiming preliminary talks could soon take place. Manchester United remain optimistic, but the deal is not without hurdles. Liverpool, Real Madrid and Lyon continue to monitor developments and could yet re-enter the race if negotiations stall or valuation gaps remain unresolved. This season (26/27) Manchester United have shipped 8 goals in 5 matches - 1.6 a game, which is well above the Premier League average. Nico O Reilly would be expected to come in and help tighten things up at the back. Manchester City continue to be linked with Jon Mikel Aramburu Mejias and Givairo Read while Manchester United are also rumoured to be tracking Charalampos Kostoulas, Miguel Gutierrez and Tomas Araujo.
