Update
Unconfirmed reports suggest that negotiations over the transfer of Soungoutou Magassa are ongoing, with Fiorentina pushing to land the defender from West Ham to strengthen their squad. Discussions are said to be constructive, with the structure of the deal - including add-ons and bonuses - now under consideration, although there is currently no confirmation of an agreed fee for the player. The player is aware of the interest and would reportedly be open to the move, should personal terms be agreed. Fiorentina remain optimistic, but the deal is not without hurdles. West Ham, Roma and Nottingham Forest continue to monitor developments and could yet re-enter the race if negotiations stall or valuation gaps remain unresolved. So far in this season, Fiorentina are conceding 1.55 goals a game (34 in 22), more than they'd like compared to the Serie A standard. The hope is Soungoutou Magassa adds a bit of steel and helps make them tougher to break down. West Ham have also been linked with Harry Maguire, Antonin Kinsky and Yaser Asprilla while Fiorentina are reportedly monitoring Kyle Walker-Peters, Sikou Niakate and Diego Coppola.
