The deal is done: Taylor Harwood-Bellis is now a Aston Villa player after completing a switch from Southampton. The defender signs after the two clubs reached an agreement and the player completed a medical. The player is set to meet his new teammates and embark on a new chapter in his career. It's the end of the road for a transfer story that featured a number of different potential suitors along the way, including Crystal Palace and West Ham. Taylor Harwood-Bellis is now confirmed as a Aston Villa player, with everything from contract approval to medicals now done. So far in this season, Aston Villa are conceding 2.5 goals a game (5 in 2), more than they'd like compared to the Premier League standard. The hope is Taylor Harwood-Bellis adds a bit of steel and helps make them tougher to break down. Alongside this, Southampton are said to be exploring Zach Abbott, Aster Vranckx and James Ward-Prowse with Aston Villa likewise connected to Amad Traore, Jean-Clair Todibo and Christian Michel Kofane.
