Multiple sources have confirmed that Arsenal have officially submitted a bid for Breno. The offer for the Corinthians midfielder had been speculated for a number of weeks, but represents the first concrete bid for the player. While negotiations continue, they are said to be progressing. The transfer remains in progress, and with no other clubs involved, Arsenal look to be negotiating from a comfortable position. So far this season, Arsenal are steady at both ends (1.6 goals scored per game, 0.8 goals conceded per game). The role for Breno would be to keep that balance while lifting performances across the pitch. Reports suggest Arsenal are monitoring Igor Matanovic, Vanderson and Leny Yoro whereas Corinthians have not been associated with other players at this stage.
