Update
After being on the brink of joining Chelsea, Etta Eyong will remain at Levante - at least for now. Talks over a potential transfer have reportedly collapsed, with negotiations hitting a wall late in the process. The midfielder had been seen as a priority signing for the interested team but it looks like they will have to look elsewhere or return with an improved offer. The transfer has collapsed, but Etta Eyong could still emerge as a target for other linked sides such as Real Madrid, Arsenal and Barcelona. So far this season, Chelsea are steady at both ends (1.91 goals scored per game, 1.0 goals conceded per game). The role for Etta Eyong would be to keep that balance while lifting performances across the pitch. Reports suggest Chelsea are monitoring Jonathan David, Antonio Rudiger and Rodrygo whereas Levante have not been associated with other players at this stage.
