Update
Leeds have reportedly made a major breakthrough in their pursuit of Facundo Valentin Buonanotte, with Chelsea accepting their latest bid for the player. The midfielder is now locked in contract discussions as they look to get a deal done as quickly as they can. While key details still need resolving, the player's move now appears to be a matter of “when,” not “if.” Leeds are still pushing to finalise terms. However, Chelsea, Leverkusen and Lyon are still watching closely and may return with offers of their own. In season 25/26, Leeds are conceding 1.76 goals per game (37 in 21 games), which points to a lack of control in midfield. Facundo Valentin Buonanotte would be expected to calm things down and protect the back line better. Chelsea continue to be linked with Victor Osimhen, Mile Svilar and Anis Hadj Moussa Hadj Moussa while Leeds are also rumoured to be tracking Raykkonen Pereira Soares, Joseph Willock and Danilho Doekhi.
