After being on the brink of joining Inter, Federico Chiesa will remain at Liverpool - at least for now. Talks over a potential transfer have reportedly collapsed, with negotiations hitting a wall late in the process. The midfielder had been seen as a priority signing for the interested team but it looks like they will have to look elsewhere or return with an improved offer. With negotiations ending unsuccessfully, Federico Chiesa will not join Inter - but interest from Juventus, Roma and Milan could yet reignite. In season 26/27, Inter are conceding 1.6 goals per game (8 in 5 games), which points to a lack of control in midfield. Federico Chiesa would be expected to calm things down and protect the back line better. Liverpool continue to be linked with Brian Brobbey, Kevin Schade and Daniel Banjaqui while Inter are also rumoured to be tracking Paul Mendy.
