It looks like Josko Gvardiol won't be joining Barcelona this window after talks with Manchester City collapsed. The defender was one of several names on their radar, but their attention now turns elsewhere after an agreement couldn't be reached. The club had hoped to wrap up a deal for the player in the coming days, but that now looks dead in the water. This move is off for now, though speculation continues around Josko Gvardiol, who has also been linked with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. With only 7 goals conceded in 7 (1.0 per game), Barcelona have been one of the stronger defences in the LaLiga this season.. Josko Gvardiol would be asked to keep that standard and provide dependable cover when needed. Alongside this, Manchester City are said to be exploring Jon Mikel Aramburu Mejias and Givairo Read with Barcelona likewise connected to Virgil van Dijk, Castello Lukeba and Arthur Dias.
