Lewis Hall is confirmed to be the subject of advanced talks between Manchester United and Newcastle, who are negotiating terms ahead of a possible transfer. The defender has long been on the radar of Manchester United, who see him as the perfect addition to their squad as they look to strengthen a key area of the pitch. Progress on talks has been made, though a final agreement is not yet in place and other clubs are said to be weighing-up whether to join the race for his signature. While Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Barcelona have shown interest, Manchester United currently lead the race - though the situation could evolve if a deal drags on. So far in this season, Manchester United are conceding 1.6 goals a game (8 in 5), more than they'd like compared to the Premier League standard. The hope is Lewis Hall adds a bit of steel and helps make them tougher to break down. Newcastle continue to be linked with Tyler Morton, Noa Mikic and Antonio Nusa while Manchester United are also rumoured to be tracking Christian Michel Kofane, Luca Williams-Barnet and Assane Diao Diaoune.
