According to various outlets, Manchester United are seriously considering a move for Enschede defender, Ruud Nijstad. While nothing concrete has emerged yet, the player's name has reportedly featured in internal discussions about possible reinforcements ahead of the run-in. Aston Villa and Barcelona are reportedly waiting in the wings. Finalising a fee and payment terms remains central to closing the transfer. Across the season 26/27, Manchester United have let in 10 goals in 7 (1.43 per game), roughly in line with the Premier League average. Ruud Nijstad would be expected to give them some extra stability and depth for the tougher stretches of the season. Reports suggest Manchester United are monitoring Yasin Abbas Ayari, Evanilson and Daniel Banjaqui whereas Enschede have not been associated with other players at this stage.
