It's official: Aji Alese has signed for Portsmouth from Sunderland. The defender's move has been confirmed by both clubs, with personal terms and registration finalised. He will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming fixtures, having completed a medical and agreed on contract terms. With no other clubs strongly linked, Portsmouth were able to move quickly and secure the deal without distraction. Across the season 25/26, Portsmouth have let in 37 goals in 27 (1.37 per game), roughly in line with the Championship average.
