Transfer speculation continues to mount as Aaron Bouwman has been linked in recent days with a move to Newcastle. The defender, currently playing for Ajax, could add a new dimension to the squad if the rumoured interest turns into an official approach before the end of the transfer window. Talks are underway, and with no competition emerging, Newcastle are seen as the sole contenders for the player's signature. So far in this season, Newcastle are conceding 1.8 goals a game (9 in 5), more than they'd like compared to the Premier League standard. The hope is Aaron Bouwman adds a bit of steel and helps make them tougher to break down. Speculation continues to connect Newcastle with Tyler Morton, Noa Mikic and Antonio Nusa while no fresh rumours surround Ajax. Need more Newcastle transfer rumours?
