According to various outlets, Barcelona are seriously considering a move for Ajax defender, Youri Baas. While nothing concrete has emerged yet, the player's name has reportedly featured in internal discussions about possible reinforcements ahead of the run-in. Porto, Crystal Palace and Newcastle are reportedly waiting in the wings. Finalising a fee and payment terms remains central to closing the transfer. With only 12 goals conceded in 11 (1.09 per game), Barcelona have been one of the stronger defences in the LaLiga this season.. Youri Baas would be asked to keep that standard and provide dependable cover when needed. Reports suggest Barcelona are monitoring Piero Hincapie, Martin Zubimendi and Lucas Bergvall whereas Ajax have not been associated with other players at this stage.
