It's official: Cesar Tarrega has signed for Sunderland from Valencia. The defender's move has been confirmed by both clubs, with personal terms and registration finalised. He will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming fixtures, having completed a medical and agreed on contract terms. With the registration processed and contract signed, the club have moved quickly to integrate him into their plans for the remainder of the season. Liverpool had previously shown interest for the player. Sunderland's back line has been a real strength this season, conceding just 0.67 goals per game (4 in 6). Cesar Tarrega would be expected to slot into that unit and hold his own in an already solid setup.
