The deal is done: Kevin Danso is now a Sunderland player after completing a switch from Tottenham. The defender signs after the two clubs reached an agreement and the player completed a medical. The player is set to meet his new teammates and embark on a new chapter in his career. No other teams were seriously connected with the player, leaving Sunderland free to complete the transfer at their own pace. Sunderland's back line has been a real strength this season, conceding just 1.0 goals per game (2 in 2). Kevin Danso would be expected to slot into that unit and hold his own in an already solid setup. Tottenham have also been linked with Robert Sanchez, Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo while Sunderland are reportedly monitoring Dodi Lukebakio, Malick Fofana and Igor Paixao.
