Emerson is officially a Marseille player following confirmation of his transfer from West Ham. The defender joins after both clubs confirmed the deal after personal terms were agreed and the player passed his medical. Now focus turns to how he will fit into his new team. No other teams were seriously connected with the player, leaving Marseille free to complete the transfer at their own pace. With only 5 goals conceded in 6 (0.83 per game), Marseille have been one of the stronger defences in the Ligue 1 this season..
