Update
Multiple reliable news outlets have reported that the race to sign Ibrahima Konate is heating up, as reports indicate that Man Utd have now officially submitted a bid for the player as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the run-in. Talks are expected to continue over the coming days - with Liverpool said to be reluctant to let him go for a penny less than their valuation. Until a fee and conditions are finalised, the deal remains vulnerable to disruption - especially if Inter, Aston Villa and Arsenal decide to make a formal offer of their own in the coming days. Across the season 25/26, Man Utd have let in 48 goals in 36 (1.33 per game), roughly in line with the Premier League average. Ibrahima Konate would be expected to give them some extra stability and depth for the tougher stretches of the season. Alongside this, Liverpool are said to be exploring Levi Colwill, Hugo Larsson and Antonio Nusa with Man Utd likewise connected to Moussa Diaby, Marc Pubill Pages and Josh Acheampong.
