Update
Media reports claim that Burnley are keeping tabs on Kalvin Phillips, who currently plays as a midfielder for Manchester City . The move is still in the early stages, but interest appears to be growing. While Burnley and Manchester City continue talks, no breakthrough has been reported. Wolves, Lyon and Leeds reportedly may still have an interest, but currently the focus is on getting this deal across the line. In season 25/26, Burnley are conceding 1.91 goals per game (44 in 23 games), which points to a lack of control in midfield. Kalvin Phillips would be expected to calm things down and protect the back line better. Manchester City continue to be linked with Sverre Halseth Nypan, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mateus Fernandes while Burnley are also rumoured to be tracking Tawanda Chirewa and James Ward-Prowse.
