Update
Burnley have wrapped up the signing of Tawanda Chirewa, who joins from Wolves. The midfielder's move has been made official after successful negotiations, a passed medical, and contract signing. The confirmation has been welcomed by fans, who've waited eagerly for this long-anticipated deal to go through. The move attracted little outside interest, which meant Burnley could complete the transfer without any real contest. In season 25/26, Burnley are conceding 1.91 goals per game (44 in 23 games), which points to a lack of control in midfield. Tawanda Chirewa would be expected to calm things down and protect the back line better. Wolves continue to be linked with Che Adams, Angel Gomes and Kalvin Phillips while Burnley are also rumoured to be tracking James Ward-Prowse. More on this story as it develops.
