Update
Wolfsburg have pulled the plug on their pursuit of Konstantinos Mavropanos, with the move from West Ham officially off. The defender had been considered a priority signing, but for now, he'll reportedly be staying put. It's unclear whether the club will revisit the deal further down the line or move onto other targets. Negotiations failed to produce a deal, and with no other reported suitors, the situation is set to remain unchanged for Konstantinos Mavropanos. So far in this season, Wolfsburg are conceding 2.1 goals a game (42 in 20), more than they'd like compared to the Bundesliga standard. The hope is Konstantinos Mavropanos adds a bit of steel and helps make them tougher to break down. West Ham continue to be linked with Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Nicola Zalewski and Harry Maguire while Wolfsburg are also rumoured to be tracking Josip Sutalo, Ko Itakura and Troy Parrott.
