It's official: Marc-Andre ter Stegen has signed for Girona from Barcelona. The goalkeeper's move has been confirmed by both clubs, with personal terms and registration finalised. He will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming fixtures, having completed a medical and agreed on contract terms. With West Ham, Aston Villa and Chelsea having dropped out of the race to sign him, the final steps went through without issue. The club handled the final stage quickly and will now look to integrate him into the matchday squad as soon as possible. This season (25/26) Girona have shipped 34 goals in 20 matches - 1.7 a game, which is well above the LaLiga average. Marc-Andre ter Stegen would be expected to come in and help tighten things up at the back.
