Despite strong interest, sources are reporting that Moriba Ilaix's expected move to Ajax has fallen through. The midfielder will continue at Celta Vigo after talks between the two clubs failed to reach an agreement. It's a frustrating development for all parties involved as they look to strengthen their squads. The deal has fallen through, and while Ajax are moving on, clubs such as Leverkusen, Besiktas and Crystal Palace remain in the frame. Ajax look balanced this season - 2.67 goals scored and 0.67 goals conceded per game. Moriba Ilaix would be expected to bring control and consistency to help push them to another level. Celta Vigo continue to be linked with Ruben Sanchez Saez, Stefan Bajcetic and Couhaib Driouech while Ajax are also rumoured to be tracking Thilo Kehrer, Hiroki Ito and Borja Sainz.
