Update
Following lengthy negotiations and final medical checks, Reiss Nelson has completed a transfer to Brentford from Arsenal. The forward is now fully registered and eligible for selection for his new team. It's a statement signing for Brentford, who have moved quickly to finalise the deal ahead of the close of the window, with fans salivating at the thought of seeing their new signing in a Brentford shirt. Interest had been high throughout the window, with Crystal Palace and Fulham previously linked. But Brentford acted decisively, beating the competition and finalising all formalities to make him the latest addition to their squad. At 1.5 goals scored per game this season, Brentford already pose a big threat. Reiss Nelson would be expected to maintain that level and give them another reliable option in attack. Alongside this, Arsenal are said to be exploring Karl Jacob Hein, Malick Fofana and Frenkie De Jong with Brentford likewise connected to Joey Veerman, Georges Mikautadze and Maximilian Beier.
