Update
Unconfirmed reports suggest that negotiations over the transfer of Robin Roefs are ongoing, with Chelsea pushing to land the goalkeeper from Sunderland to strengthen their squad. Discussions are said to be constructive, with the structure of the deal - including add-ons and bonuses - now under consideration, although there is currently no confirmation of an agreed fee for the player. The player is aware of the interest and would reportedly be open to the move, should personal terms be agreed. Chelsea have laid out their intentions, but valuation and timing remain under debate. Liverpool are keeping tabs in case talks collapse or progress slows further. With only 34 goals conceded in 29 (1.17 per game), Chelsea have been one of the stronger defences in the Premier League this season.. Robin Roefs would be asked to keep that standard and provide dependable cover when needed. Sunderland have also been linked with Santiago Gimenez while Chelsea are reportedly monitoring James Trafford, Darwin Nunez and Aleksandar Pavlovic. More on this story as it develops.
