Update
It's reportedly back to square one for Chelsea after failing to land Rodrygo from Real Madrid. The forward had been in their sights for weeks, but despite talks taking place over a potential transfer, the move never materialised and it looks like they will need to move onto fresh targets. He'll remain with his current club for the time being - unless an improved bid is made. This move is off for now, though speculation continues around Rodrygo, who has also been linked with Newcastle, Bayern Munich and Paris SG. At 1.91 goals scored per game this season, Chelsea already pose a big threat. Rodrygo would be expected to maintain that level and give them another reliable option in attack. Alongside this, Real Madrid are said to be exploring Alex Grimaldo, Yan Diomande and Dominik Szoboszlai with Chelsea likewise connected to Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa, Daniel Munoz and Harry Kane.
