After being on the brink of joining Fiorentina, Axel Disasi will remain at Chelsea - at least for now. Talks over a potential transfer have reportedly collapsed, with negotiations hitting a wall late in the process. The defender had been seen as a priority signing for the interested team but it looks like they will have to look elsewhere or return with an improved offer. The deal has fallen through, and while Fiorentina are moving on, clubs such as Leeds, Roma and Milan remain in the frame. This season (25/26) Fiorentina have shipped 34 goals in 22 matches - 1.55 a game, which is well above the Serie A average. Axel Disasi would be expected to come in and help tighten things up at the back. Alongside this, Chelsea are said to be exploring Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Franco Mastantuono and Ibrahim Mbaye with Fiorentina likewise connected to Soungoutou Magassa, Kyle Walker-Peters and Sikou Niakate.
