Update
After being on the brink of joining Crystal Palace, David Brooks will remain at Bournemouth - at least for now. Talks over a potential transfer have reportedly collapsed, with negotiations hitting a wall late in the process. The midfielder had been seen as a priority signing for the interested team but it looks like they will have to look elsewhere or return with an improved offer. Negotiations failed to produce a deal, and with no other reported suitors, the situation is set to remain unchanged for David Brooks. So far this season, Crystal Palace are steady at both ends (1.33 goals scored per game, 0.5 goals conceded per game). The role for David Brooks would be to keep that balance while lifting performances across the pitch. Bournemouth continue to be linked with Josh Acheampong, Dango Ouattara and Dario Osorio while Crystal Palace are also rumoured to be tracking Reiss Nelson, Yeremy Santos and Hee-chan Hwang.
