Update
It's official: Himad Abdelli has signed for Marseille from Angers. The midfielder's move has been confirmed by both clubs, with personal terms and registration finalised. He will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming fixtures, having completed a medical and agreed on contract terms. Marseille have now officially completed the signing of Himad Abdelli, despite lingering interest from Lyon. All steps, from final paperwork to international clearance, have been resolved. The club closed the door on a move that had generated widespread speculation. So far this season, Marseille are steady at both ends (2.3 goals scored per game, 1.1 goals conceded per game). The role for Himad Abdelli would be to keep that balance while lifting performances across the pitch. Alongside this, Angers are said to be exploring Goduine Koyalipou and Branco Van den Boomen with Marseille likewise connected to Nnadi Tocukvu, Souffian El Karouani and Ethan Nwaneri.
