It's all confirmed: Honest Ahanor has joined Chelsea from Atalanta. The defender has penned terms with his new club and completed all registration steps. This deal brings to an end a high-profile pursuit, with Chelsea now adding another piece to their evolving squad structure. With Crystal Palace, Brighton and Arsenal having dropped out of the race to sign him, the final steps went through without issue. The club handled the final stage quickly and will now look to integrate him into the matchday squad as soon as possible. So far in this season, Chelsea are conceding 2.5 goals a game (5 in 2), more than they'd like compared to the Premier League standard. The hope is Honest Ahanor adds a bit of steel and helps make them tougher to break down. Alongside this, Atalanta are said to be exploring Juan Cabal, Franck Kessie and Jonathan Rowe with Chelsea likewise connected to Francisco Fernandes Conceicao, Lamine Camara and Iliman Ndiaye.
