Crystal Palace have wrapped up the signing of Honest Ahanor, who joins from Atalanta. The defender's move has been made official after successful negotiations, a passed medical, and contract signing. The confirmation has been welcomed by fans, who've waited eagerly for this long-anticipated deal to go through. Crystal Palace have won the race for Honest Ahanor, who had been tracked by Brighton, Chelsea and Arsenal earlier this month. Now that every aspect of the deal has been confirmed, the focus turns to preparing him for debut. The move is a clear signal of the club's ambition this season. So far in this season, Crystal Palace are conceding 3.0 goals a game (6 in 2), more than they'd like compared to the Premier League standard. The hope is Honest Ahanor adds a bit of steel and helps make them tougher to break down. Alongside this, Atalanta are said to be exploring Franck Kessie and Jonathan Rowe with Crystal Palace likewise connected to Oumar Solet, Hugo Larsson and Jarrod Bowen.
