Update
After weeks of interest, multiple sources have confirmed that Wolfsburg have tabled a formal bid for Kristoffer Ajer. The Brentford defender has been attracting interest from across the league in recent weeks, with an opening offer marking a clear intent to get the deal done before the market intensifies. But it remains to be seen whether this opening bid will be enough to tempt a move away. The transfer remains in progress, and with no other clubs involved, Wolfsburg look to be negotiating from a comfortable position. With only 7 goals conceded in 5 (1.4 per game), Wolfsburg have been one of the stronger defences in the Bundesliga this season.. Kristoffer Ajer would be asked to keep that standard and provide dependable cover when needed. Brentford have also been linked with Georges Mikautadze, Harry Winks and Idrissa Gueye while Wolfsburg are reportedly monitoring Sadibou Sane, Trai Hume and Milan van Ewijk.
