It looks like Manuel Ugarte won't be joining Ajax this window after talks with Man Utd collapsed. The midfielder was one of several names on their radar, but their attention now turns elsewhere after an agreement couldn't be reached. The club had hoped to wrap up a deal for the player in the coming days, but that now looks dead in the water. The deal has fallen through, and while Ajax are moving on, clubs such as Napoli, Lyon and Galatasaray remain in the frame. Ajax look balanced this season - 1.95 goals scored and 1.37 goals conceded per game. Manuel Ugarte would be expected to bring control and consistency to help push them to another level.
