Talks are said to be underway between Martin Zubimendi and Real Madrid following an accepted bid by Arsenal. The midfielder is seen as a priority signing for the buying side, who are now focused on finalising personal terms as they look to strengthen their squad and kick-on. The player has not yet agreed a contract, but the move is progressing rapidly behind the scenes and is expected to be completed in the coming days. Real Madrid are still pushing to finalise terms. However, Chelsea are still watching closely and may return with offers of their own. So far this season, Real Madrid are steady at both ends (2.8 goals scored per game, 0.8 goals conceded per game). The role for Martin Zubimendi would be to keep that balance while lifting performances across the pitch. Arsenal have also been linked with Rio Ngumoha, Mohamed Kader Meite and Jorge Dominguez while Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring Nuno Tavares, Gregor Kobel and Paul Wanner.
