It's official: Samy Jr Merheg has signed for Alverca from Braga. The forward's move has been confirmed by both clubs, with personal terms and registration finalised. He will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming fixtures, having completed a medical and agreed on contract terms. The move attracted little outside interest, which meant Alverca could complete the transfer without any real contest. In season 25/26, Alverca are only scoring 1.0 goals per game (24 in 24), below the Primeira Liga average. Samy Jr Merheg would be brought in to give them more bite in the final third.
