It's official: Soumaula Coulibaly has signed for Brest from Strasbourg Alsace. The defender's move has been confirmed by both clubs, with personal terms and registration finalised. He will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming fixtures, having completed a medical and agreed on contract terms. Unlike many transfers, this move came without rival competition, allowing Brest to finalise the signing smoothly. So far in this season, Brest are conceding 1.83 goals a game (11 in 6), more than they'd like compared to the Ligue 1 standard. The hope is Soumaula Coulibaly adds a bit of steel and helps make them tougher to break down. There are currently no rumoured links for either Strasbourg Alsace or Brest.
