Transfer talk surrounding Tomas Araujo is intensifying, with reports suggesting Manchester United are monitoring the SL Benfica defender closely. The player has caught the attention of several scouts as other clubs prepare for a potentially active transfer window. Manchester United remain optimistic, but the deal is not without hurdles. Chelsea, Dortmund and Bayern Munich continue to monitor developments and could yet re-enter the race if negotiations stall or valuation gaps remain unresolved. This season (26/27) Manchester United have shipped 8 goals in 5 matches - 1.6 a game, which is well above the Premier League average. Tomas Araujo would be expected to come in and help tighten things up at the back. Speculation continues to connect Manchester United with Jacobo Ramon Naveros, Kevin Schade and Santiago Beltran while no fresh rumours surround SL Benfica.
