The transfer mill is churning once again, with Chelsea believed to be lining up a move for Daniel Banjaqui, the defender from SL Benfica. Sources close to the club suggest they are exploring options to reinforce their squad ahead of the run-in. Chelsea have laid out their intentions, but valuation and timing remain under debate. Tottenham and Liverpool are keeping tabs in case talks collapse or progress slows further. This season (26/27) Chelsea have shipped 13 goals in 6 matches - 2.17 a game, which is well above the Premier League average. Daniel Banjaqui would be expected to come in and help tighten things up at the back. Reports suggest Chelsea are monitoring Malik Jakupovic, Andy Diouf and William Gomes Carvalho Santos whereas SL Benfica have not been associated with other players at this stage.
