Update
After a completed medical and final agreement on terms, Trevan Sanusi has been unveiled as a new Lorient signing. The forward leaves Newcastle to embark on a new chapter - with fans of his new club keen to see what he can do. Lorient identified him as a top target early in the window and are said to be delighted to finally get their man. Lorient have now officially completed the signing of Trevan Sanusi, despite lingering interest from Le Havre and Auxerre. All steps, from final paperwork to international clearance, have been resolved. The club closed the door on a move that had generated widespread speculation. So far this season, Lorient are averaging 1.5 goals scored per game (9 goals /6 games), about average in the Ligue 1. Trevan Sanusi would be expected to help them push higher and add more variety in attack. Alongside this, Newcastle are said to be exploring Jayden Oosterwolde, Aurelien Tchouameni and Fermin Lopez Marin with Lorient likewise connected to Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, Bamo Meite and Illan Meslier. Stay tuned for more details as the story develops. Need more Lorient transfer rumours? Follow @PlayerSwitchCom on Twitter for news and updates as they happen.
