Update
It's official: Fotis Ioannidis has signed for Sporting from Panathinaikos. The forward's move has been confirmed by both clubs, with personal terms and registration finalised. He will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the upcoming fixtures, having completed a medical and agreed on contract terms. With the registration processed and contract signed, the club have moved quickly to integrate him into their plans for the remainder of the season. Porto and Leeds had previously shown interest for the player. Sporting have been strong going forward this season, with 19 goals scored in 7 games (2.71 per game). Fotis Ioannidis would give them depth and keep that attacking firepower going all season. Alongside this, Panathinaikos are said to be exploring Mehdi Taremi and Max Johnston with Sporting likewise connected to Ioannis Konstantelias. More on this story as it develops.
