Ivan Toney, currently with Al Ahli Saudi, is the latest name linked with a potential switch to Newcastle. The forward could become a key signing should the move materialise, as the club seeks to strengthen in a key area of the pitch. While Newcastle and Al Ahli Saudi continue talks, no breakthrough has been reported. Juventus, Liverpool and Leeds United reportedly may still have an interest, but currently the focus is on getting this deal across the line. So far this season, Newcastle are averaging 1.43 goals scored per game (10 goals /7 games), close to the Premier League average. Ivan Toney would be expected to help them push higher and add more variety in attack. Newcastle have recently been linked with Nicolo Tresoldi, Fikayo Tomori and Wesley Franca while Al Ahli Saudi have had no rumoured targets.
