Rumours are swirling around Gabriel, with Newcastle reportedly showing interest in the midfielder currently plying his trade at Galatasaray. With both teams looking to strengthen their squads, the move could have a massive impact on their seasons going forward. Newcastle remain optimistic, but the deal is not without hurdles. Everton, Manchester City and Aston Villa continue to monitor developments and could yet re-enter the race if negotiations stall or valuation gaps remain unresolved. Newcastle's 26/27 record of 1.67 goals conceded per game shows they're missing balance in midfield. Someone like Gabriel could give them more structure and help them manage games. Alongside this, Galatasaray are said to be exploring Yasin Abbas Ayari with Newcastle likewise connected to Folarin Balogun, Ivan Toney and Nicolo Tresoldi.
